This project was designed to identify childcare provision throughout Warwickshire. The survey looked at household composition, the types of childcare provision available, current usage levels and the costs involved.
We carried out a total of 400 face-to-face interviews with parents and carers across 10 Warwickshire towns. We were asked to achieve an equal amount of interviews from each of the 10 towns. Careful planning had to be enforced as we anticipated that certain more populated areas would yield more interviews due to higher traffic flow – which indeed they did.
The fieldwork took place over a very short timeframe as we were working to strict deadlines but the project was successfully completed on time and to budget.
