This project was commissioned as part of an on going planning and development strategy for this key national airport. The focus was to understand how and why individuals choose particular methods of transport to travel to and from airports, while also covering awareness and perception of transport methods available.
The research was conducted airside in the departure lounge and involved the distribution and collection of self-completion questionnaires. As a given quota of the project was to include as many foreign passengers as possible, and as certain passengers needed to be screened out, this process was done via a multi lingual show-card presented to passengers. If eligible to take part, the passengers then completed the main questionnaire in their own language.
All interviewers were subjected to Criminal Record Checks as well as the airport’s own security procedures.
Protel completed all of the fieldwork on time and within budget, meeting all of the required quotas.
This piece of research was one in a series of similar projects that we carried out for this client.
